All scanning undergoes a number of specialized steps to get colour as close to the original as possible as well as provide the best resolution.

To ensure maximum colour fidelity, the scanner has been calibrated to known reference points such that as an original is scanned, the scanner only picks up light intensities which are usable and meet certain parameters built into the calibration loop. But there is more!

The next step we take is to assign colour values which reflect the truest colours of the original. This step is not usually undertaken by most bureaus.

We then deskew, crop and scale to customer requirements.

Our final but detailed step is colour correction. Not all colours will come out correct and so we check the shadow, highlight and midtone details and optimize the colour ready for monitor and printer.

Another unique feature of our workflow is that our monitors are calibrated regularly to ensure we work in a WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) environment.
